WHAT IS AN ACTIVE INGREDIENT?

An active, is the ingredient in a product addressing whatever skin concern it's meant to target. Our products are specifically formulated to address issues with wrinkles, fine lines and dehydration, but are suitable for all skin types and ages. Nedori products include actives that addresses more than one skin problem at a time.

 

 

WHAT IS A PEPTIDE INGREDIENT?

Peptides stimulate the body to generate more collagen and elastin; help with wound healing; reducing the breakdown of collagen; and smoothing the appearance of lines and wrinkles. There is good evidence that signal and carrier peptides can make skin look firmer and plumper, with a smoother texture, and support wound healing respectively.

  • Allantoin
    What is it: Allantoin, also known as aluminum dihydroxy allantoinate, is an extract from the comfrey plant. ​ Benefits: This gentle ingredient soothes, hydrates and heals dry or sensitive skin. It protects against free radicals (which cause ageing), acts as an anti-inflammatory agent to fight redness and swelling and removes dead skin cells, leaving your skin soft and smooth. Allantoin can be found in our HYDRATE ME MOISTURIZER.
  • Aloe Extract
    What is it: Found in the Aloe Vera plant and is a naturally derived ingredient known for its soothing properties. It can come in powder, liquid, and gel form and can be found in products like creams, moisturizers, gels, and masks. ​ Benefits: Aloe extract helps to relieve inflamed, irritated or sunburnt skin and is often used in skincare for its soothing properties. It’s made up of 99% water and perfect for hydrating skin by reducing flaking and forming a protective layer that retains moisture. Aloe Extract can be found in our HYDRATE ME MOISTURIZER.
  • Argireline
    What is it: Argireline (peptide) is just a brand name for a particular peptide, acetyl hexapeptide-3 (aka acetyl hexapeptide-8). As a quick reminder, peptides are short chains of amino acids, the foundation for proteins, including collagen and elastin, making them essential for healthy, youthful skin. ​ Benefits: Prevents the muscle movement that leads to wrinkle formation. Argireline also promotes collagen production and optimizes the function of collagen, which both fight fine lines and improve moisture levels in the skin.   • Hydromanil
    What is it: Hydromanil is an ingredient derived from the tara seed and is known to be an innovative and potent moisturiser. ​ Benefits: The compound in the hydromanil interacts with the layers of skin, gets absorbed, and prevents water loss besides immediate moisturization. Due to these, it has gained popularity for its properties and effects on the skin which is long-lasting and works to enhance the skin's appearance and texture.   • Matrixyl 3000
    What is it: Matrixyl 3000 (peptide) is a type of synthetic peptide used in skincare for its ability to stimulate collagen production, which results in anti-aging effects. ​ Benefits: It helps bring back necessary moisture to depleted skin cells, helping to improve glow and your skin's vibrancy. Supports collagen production, increases hyaluronic acid, improves appearances of wrinkles, increase glow, non-irritating and suitable for sensitive skin.   • Niacinamide (Vitamin B3)
    What is it: When we think about skin benefits and vitamin B3, we're referring to a specific form of B3 (an amide) called nicotinamide [also known as niacinamide]. Nicotinamide is in some topical formulations and can be used in the morning or night as a cream, typically after gentle cleansing. ​ Benefits: AKA Vitamin B, One of the most talked about ingredients in skincare right now, this stable form of vitamin B3 is great for all skin types. It brightens and hydrates your skin, reduces premature signs of ageing and makes pores appear smaller for a smooth complexion.   • Panthenol (Vitamin B5)
    What is it: Panthenol is the provitamin—a precursor, or substance that the body can convert into a specific vitamin—for B5. In this case, when panthenol is applied topically, it’s quickly converted into vitamin B5, also known as pantothenic acid. ​ Benefits: Alongside its top-notch hydrating benefits, panthenol also has some other noteworthy effects, particularly as it pertains to calming the skin and promoting wound healing.   • Rosehip
    What is it: Rosehip oil—also known as rosehip seed oil—is a pressed seed oil that has been valued since ancient times for its many healing properties, which makes it especially helpful for those with sensitive skin. Rosehip oil is derived from the small fruit that sits beneath the rose. ​ Benefits: Because it contains high concentrations of vitamin A, B vitamins, and vitamin E, rosehip oil is known for its exceptional regenerative and healing properties.   • Shea Butter
    What is it: Shea butter is a plant lipid that comes from African shea tree nuts and is rich in fatty acids, antioxidants, and vitamins, also a very solid oil. ​ Benefits: Shea Butter is great for hydration and calms the skin. It goes into the skin well and protects the face from extreme temperatures. It also plumps the skin and helps fade scars.   • Squalane
    What is it: The use of this emollient in the beauty industry has long been controversial due to the fact that squalane found in cosmetics, not to be confused with squalene. However, these are plant-based forms of squalane. Squalane can be naturally sourced from plants, for example, olives and sugar cane. ​ Benefits: This powerhouse ingredient locks in moisture for healthy, balanced and radiant skin. Squalane is suitable for all skin types, but its antibacterial properties make it that much more ideal for acne-prone skin.     What is it: Alpha-tocopherol (the form of Vitamin E humans can metabolize) is typically produced synthetically but can be found in natural products as well.
